Jon Kilby FCCA - Director
Jon is a chartered certified accountant with over 20 years experience in practice. He trained in a small practice in Bridport before moving to a large regional firm. After careful consideration, Spirare was formed over 7 years ago to provide bespoke services to all types of client. Jon’s overall knowledge and passion enables him to assist each client in achieving their aims, increasing their profitability and growing their business. His industry specialties include agriculture, retail, building and construction, consultants, food and leisure, hospitality services, social housing and the motor trade. Personal interests include attending music gigs and sporting events.

Louise Tattershall ACCA - Director
Louise is a chartered certified accountant with over 20 years of experience. Louise trained in a small practice in Bridport and then moved to a large regional firm. It was decided 7 years ago to set up Spirare to provide bespoke services to clients. Louise looks after a plethora of clients and focuses on service, efficiency and performance. Her industry specialties include retail, building and construction, consultants, beauty, food and leisure, motor trade, agriculture and hospitality services.

Ben Quinton BA HONS
Ben has a first class degree in accounting and finance. Ben is a fully qualified Chartered accountant. He passed his professional qualification in 2021.Ben’s role comprises the preparation and submission of end of year accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLP’s, CIC’s, and limited companies. He also prepares personal tax returns, partnership returns and CT600’s. Ben also oversees and reviews various bookkeeping for clients and advises them accordingly. Ben provides management reports to our larger clients. Ben next phase of development is client portfolio management. He will look to obtain businesses and individuals to grow his client facing portfolio. He is currently a support mechanism to the directors. Ben is our personal fitness trainer. Ben is Spirare’s Clark Kent mixed with Arnie Schwarzenegger.

Gemma Kerslake AAT
Gemma is AAT qualified. She has also recently passed her professional accountancy qualification and is now a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. Gemma’s role comprises the preparation and submission of end of year accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLP’s, CIC’s, and limited companies. She also prepares personal tax returns, partnership returns and CT600’s. Gemma also overseas and reviews various bookkeeping for clients and advises them accordingly. Gemma completes and submits CIS returns for our building and construction clients. Gemma provides management reports to our larger clients. Gemma next phase of development is client portfolio management. She will look to obtain businesses and individuals to grow her client facing portfolio. She is currently a support mechanism to the directors. Gemma is our French speaking, amazing baker and Rogue from X-Men lookalike.

Debbie Poole
Debbie has more than 20 years experience in practice and is in control of our payroll team. Her role comprises of the preparation, submission and advisory of all aspects of payroll. This includes auto-enrolment and pension submissions. She is also similarly extensively experienced with accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and LLP’s. She is also very experienced in respect of vat and assists a number of clients with submissions and their bookkeeping needs. Debbie is a keen pistol and rifle shot, so she is our Villanelle assassin.

Lynda Wakelin
Lynda is responsible for the bookkeeping department of Spirare. She has more than 20 years experience in various accounting and bookkeeping roles. She is very experienced on Sage, Xero, Kashflow and QuickBooks software. Her role is overseeing the bookkeeping function. It also comprises of the completion, submission of vat returns. Lynda also provides advisory support to our clients. Lynda is a real personality in the office. She adores her cats, cycling and looking after her family.

Julie Lloyd
Julie has more than 20 years experience in practice with a number of different firms. She is a part qualified ACCA with a wide range of experience gained over her career. Julie is part time with Spirare and self employed for the rest of her working week. Julie is our Xero superuser and is responsible for a number of management information reporting for our bookkeeping clients. Her role includes sole trader, partnership, limited company and LLP account preparation. Taxation for sole traders, individuals, partnerships, LLP’s and companies. She also provides bookkeeping support and processing for our larger clients. Julie is a keen sailor and loves a holiday.

George Peach
George is a trainee accountant. He is currently studying AAT level 4. His intention is to pass level 4 and fully qualify with this accountancy body. George’s role comprises of the preparation of sole trader, partnership, LLP and company accounts. George also completes vat returns and assists in the bookkeeping team. Further to this George adopts a company secretarial and administrative role, including our Companies House and HMRC filing requirements. George also has a payroll portfolio of clients that he looks after. George also sets up our new clients on the various platforms that are required. George is the true gentleman of the office. He is our BFG.
